About the event
Give your child a fun, confidence-building STEM experience—while you see their creativity come to life.
In this hands-on workshop, students explore what makes a city work (transportation, utilities, housing, safety, and communication), learn how AI is used in everyday life, and then apply the engineering design process to plan and build a ‘smart city’ using VEX IQ components.
What kids will do:
Identify the major systems that make a city function.
Explain how transportation, utilities, housing, public safety, and communication systems work together.
Recognize challenges faced by modern cities.
Define artificial intelligence in age-appropriate terms.
