About the event
Curious what it's like to build a robot that can explore underwater? In this one-hour workshop, kids will get an exciting introduction to the world of MATE ROV — a real underwater robotics competition where students design, build, and pilot their own robots.
Through guided explanation and a live hands-on demo, participants will learn what the MATE ROV competition involves, what they'll need to design and build before competition day, and the technical and teamwork skills they'll gain along the way. The highlight of the workshop: kids get to try piloting an ROV online themselves, followed by an open Q&A session where they can ask questions about robotics and the competition.
