AI403-SP26-SU-BLT-3D Design&Printing AI

G4+, Sundays, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM, Burlington

Program Description

Course Details: • Name: 3D Design & 3D Printing with AI • Date: February 8, 2026 – April 19, 2026 • Time: Sundays, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM • Location: Burlington Classroom • Grades: G4+ • Prerequisite: None 3D Design & 3D Printing with AI is an advanced, hands-on course for students in Grade 4 and above who want to combine creativity, engineering, and artificial intelligence. Over 10 lessons (1.5 hours per lesson), students learn how to design 3D models using both traditional tools and AI-assisted design techniques, and then turn those digital creations into real, physical objects through 3D printing. Students will explore how AI can support the design process—helping with idea generation, shape optimization, problem-solving, and design iteration—while also learning the core principles of 3D modeling such as dimensions, constraints, structure, and usability. The course covers the complete 3D printing workflow, including printer operation, materials, slicing, and print evaluation. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course, students will be able to: Create and refine 3D models using AI-supported design tools Understand how AI can assist in research, ideation, and design improvement Operate within a full 3D printing pipeline from concept to finished print Apply engineering thinking to improve strength, function, and aesthetics This course is ideal for students interested in maker projects, engineering, and AI-enhanced creativity, and provides a strong foundation for more advanced robotics, product design, and innovation programs.
