Course Details: • Name: USAAIO Intro • Date: September 18, 2025 – January 15, 2026 • Time: Thursdays, 6:15 PM – 8:15 PM • Location: Vinci Burlington/Vinci Newton/Online Classroom • Grades: G7+ • Prerequisite: None 16 weeks, 32 hours, 2 hours per lesson, 1 lesson per week. An introduction to the USA Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (USAAIO). This course introduces students to the USA Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (USAAIO), focusing on the fundamental concepts, techniques, and problem-solving strategies required for success in AI competitions. Students will explore key AI topics such as search algorithms, optimization, machine learning basics, and data structures while developing strong coding and analytical skills. Through guided practice, past contest problems, and mock challenges, students will gain the confidence and foundation to participate in USAAIO and other advanced AI competitions. The course also emphasizes logical thinking, creativity, and effective solution design—skills that extend beyond competitions to real-world applications. Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand key concepts in AI and their real-world applications 2. Explore algorithmic problem-solving in an AI context 3. Develop beginner AI solutions using Python or similar languages 4.
