Program Description

Course Details: • Name: Science Fair Project • Date: September 14, 2026 – January 24, 2027 • Time: Thursdays, 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM • Location: Newton Classroom • Grades: G6+ A personalized, project-based course designed to help students prepare for a science fair project. Students develop a science, engineering, or AI-related project and work through the complete process from selecting a research question and conducting background research to designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, evaluating results, and presenting their findings. Projects may incorporate AI, robotics, environmental science, engineering, data analysis, or other STEM fields based on the student’s interests. Instruction is customized to each student based on their experience, project idea, technical needs, and specific science fair requirements. Students may begin with a half-an-hour $50 one-on-one trial session with the instructor. During this session, the student and parent can discuss the student’s interests, experience, science fair requirements, timeline, possible project ideas, and recommended preparation plan. The instructor will also explain how the full program can support the student throughout the project and competition preparation process. Students may also learn to apply AI, robotics, engineering, data analysis, or other STEM technologies when appropriate. Students will develop research, critical-thinking, problem-solving, project-management, documentation, and presentation skills while learning to clearly communicate their project process, results, and conclusions.
