Course Details: • Name: IQ Competition Team • Date: September 8, 2025 – January 11, 2026 • Time: Fridays, 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM; Sundays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM • Location: Newton Classroom • Grades: G4+ • Prerequisite: R402 Students become part of an official VEX IQ competition team, working on engineering notebooks, programming, driver skills, and teamwork challenges in preparation for regional/state events. This experience mirrors real-world engineering collaboration and allows students to take ownership of their roles in the team. It also builds presentation and judging readiness, which are key to award-winning performance. Learning Outcomes: 1. Execute all aspects of a VEX IQ competition season 2. Maintain detailed documentation in engineering notebooks 3. Demonstrate leadership and collaboration in a team environment 4.
