Program Description

Course Details: • Name: IQ Beyond • Date: September 2, 2026 – March 14, 2027 • Time: Thursdays, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM; Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM • Location: Burlington Classroom • Grades: G4+ • Prerequisite: R402 This is a project-based program. The learning is flexible and requires students to be self-motivated to achieve good results. Students will be trained for the VEX IQ competition, working on engineering notebooks, programming, driver skills, and teamwork challenges in preparation for regional/state events. This experience mirrors real-world engineering collaboration and allows students to take ownership of their roles in the team. It also builds presentation and judging readiness, which are key to award-winning performance. Students are coming to Vinci Classroom to get trained and form competition teams at their schools to become school teams Learning Outcomes: 1. Execute all aspects of a VEX IQ competition season 2. Maintain detailed documentation in engineering notebooks 3. Demonstrate leadership and collaboration in a team environment 4. Compete confidently at local or state-level events
