LEARNING GOALS

  • Learn robotics knowledge

  • Deeply understand and follow the Engineering Design Process, which is a lifetime benefit skill.

  • Improve hands-on, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking abilities.

  • Through teamwork to improve students’ leadership and communication skills.

  • Gain practical skills in robot design, building, and programming.

  • Collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity are emphasized.

  • The competition sparks interest in STEM fields and prepares students for future innovation.

  • Analyze different team performance and competition strategies.

LEARNING ARRANGEMENT

  • Competition training in Vinci Classroom, form teams at school. 

  • Students will learn all the aspects in the teamwork.

  • 4 hours per week - 2 times per week.

  • Additional open workshop time.

PREREQUISITES

  • To join the Vinci Robotics Competition teams (R411) - students must complete the R401 and R402 courses or have very strong knowledge of robotics competition or knowledge.

R411 - Vinci IQ Beyond Competition Training Program

2026 - 2027 Season:​ (May 2026 - May 2027)

IQ Early Launch - Start from May and Summer

New non experienced students are welcome!

​

Time: 

  • Before July - Wednesday 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Sunday 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Burlington

  • July and August - Open other weeks, Monday to Friday, 1 PM - 5 PM

​

Location:

  • Burlington Classroom

 

Grades:

  • G4+

IQ Beyond Program - Start from September

​

Time: 

  • Wednesday 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Total over 100 lecture & workshop hours for the competition season.

  • An additional 30 worship hours will be provided based on the team's progress.

​

Location:

  • Newton Classroom

 

Grades:

  • G4+

​​

Prerequisite:

  • Complete R401 - IQ Competition I and R402 - IQ Competition II, or have strong​ previous Robotics Competition Experience
