Override｜One New Rule. The Hardest Season Yet.

New season. New rules. New game. The teams that move first are the ones that win.
When the Override rules dropped, one line stopped us cold:
Yellow Pins don't belong to whoever stacked them. They belong to whoever controls the zone at the end.That single rule changes the entire logic of the game.
In past seasons, the formula was straightforward — build solid, stack accurately, run a clean autonomous. That's still table stakes. But this year, you can lead the whole match and lose it in the final 10 seconds if your opponent takes Midfield and claims every Yellow Pin in the central Goal.
Matches can fully reverse in the last few seconds.That means Override is really testing two things at once — things teams used to be able to train separately: precision in structure and stacking, combined with zone control and real-time decision-making under pressure.
The robot needs to read the field, identify targets, and execute tasks. The alliance needs to coordinate strategy on the fly. Building a machine that moves isn't enough anymore. This is AI robotics territory.
That's why we built a dedicated Override training camp this season, focused on three breakthroughs:
‼️ Decode the scoring logic — know when to stack and when to drop everything and take the zone instead
‼️ Build a real Autonomous — path planning, PID, state machines. Understand the logic, don't just copy the code
‼️ Develop a three-layer strategy — Driver, Auton, and Alliance coordination so your team knows exactly what they're doing when it counts
