The Presidential AI Challenge is a national initiative for K–12 students and educators, established by an Executive Order from President Donald Trump and officially launched by First Lady Melania Trump. This program encourages participants to develop and propose AI-powered solutions that address real-world challenges within their schools or communities.
The Challenge aims to foster innovation, promote responsible AI use, and build a future-ready AI workforce by empowering young learners and educators to engage meaningfully with artificial intelligence. Finalists will be recognized at the state, regional, and national levels, with the competition culminating in a White House showcase event.

1️⃣Team Up
Form a group of K–12 students, educators, and community members to collaborate on an AI project.
2️⃣Choose a Track
🔹Track I – Proposal: Develop a comprehensive plan for an AI-based solution addressing a local or community issue.
🔹Track II – Implementation: Build and demonstrate an actual AI-powered tool or application that solves a problem.
🔹Track III – Educators: Design an innovative approach to teaching AI concepts or show how AI tools can enhance K–12 learning.
3️⃣Create Your Project
Prepare your proposal, prototype, or teaching model with supporting documentation and visuals.
4️⃣Compete
Submit your project for evaluation. Winners will be selected as State Champions, advancing to regional and ultimately national levels, where top teams may be invited to present their work at the White House.
