Spring 2026|How Should Kids Choose Between Programming and Robotics?

After talking with many parents recently, one thing has become increasingly clear:
the question isn’t whether kids should learn programming or robotics — it’s how to choose.
Some kids can sit still and think logically for long periods.
Some lose focus when writing code, but light up the moment they start building robots.
Others are young, yet already love turning ideas into real, tangible things.
So we stepped back and reorganized how children learn.
We now offer four distinct learning pathways 👇
There’s no “better” or “worse” — just what fits different kids best.
① Algorithm & Competitive Programming Pathway
🌟 Best for:
Students with strong logical thinking and interest in competitions or STEM fields (G7+)
For these kids, the key isn’t simply writing code, but learning how to break down problems, build models, and reason step by step toward solutions.
📌 Courses:
USACO Bronze / USAAIO / Python Programming
② Robotics & Engineering Competition Pathway
🌟 Best for:
Hands-on learners with strong logic who don’t enjoy repetitive problem sets (G4+)
In real engineering competitions, there are no standard answers.
Every decision must be made under constraints — just like real-world problem solving.
📌 Courses:
V5 / IQ Competition
③ Early Engineering Foundations Pathway
🌟 Best for:
Children encountering structured engineering for the first time (G2–G4)
At this stage, we don’t aim for difficulty.
We focus on building a sense of rules, structure, and logical thinking — slowly and naturally.
📌 Courses:
City Technology Rebuild Challenge / Battle Bot Championship
④ 3D Design & Spatial Creation Pathway
🌟 Best for:
Kids who love design, building, and turning ideas into physical objects (G4+)
From sketches to 3D models, and finally to printed results, children experience something powerful for the first time:
ideas can become real.
📌 Courses:
3D Design & 3D Printing
💡Many parents start by asking:
“Which course is the best?”
🤔But more often, we ask back:
“Which type does your child look more like?”
🤖This spring, we’re not just offering more classes —
we’re helping each child walk a path that truly fits them.
