AI701-FA26-TH-NTN-Vinci AI Builder

G7+, Thursdays, 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Newton

Program Description

Course Details: • Name: Vinci AI Builder • Date: September 14, 2026 – January 24, 2027 • Time: Thursdays, 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM • Location: Newton Classroom • Grades: G7+ • Prerequisite: None What if you could build a Mars rover that sees obstacles, makes decisions, and navigates on its own—or teach a robotic arm to see and interact with objects? In Vinci AI Builder, students build intelligent machines through two flagship projects: an AI Mars Rover and an Intelligent Robot Arm. Using Python, computer vision, sensors, AI models, and robotic control, students develop autonomous behaviors and learn how intelligent robots perceive, think, and act. They also explore 3D design and printing to create custom robotic components. Students experience the complete engineering process: design, build, program, test, debug, and improve. Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to: Build and program an autonomous AI Mars Rover. Build an intelligent robotic arm using computer vision. Program robotic systems using Python. Apply object detection, tracking, and visual decision-making. Integrate cameras, sensors, AI, and robotic control. Understand the Sense → Think → Act architecture. Design custom components with 3D modeling and printing. Test, debug, and improve complete AI robotics systems.
