AI701-FA26-TH-NTN-Vinci AI Builder
G7+, Thursdays, 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Newton

Program Description
Course Details: • Name: Vinci AI Builder • Date: September 14, 2026 – January 24, 2027 • Time: Thursdays, 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM • Location: Newton Classroom • Grades: G7+ • Prerequisite: None Vinci AI Builder is a 16-week project-based robotics and artificial intelligence program for students in Grade 7 and above who are ready to build more sophisticated AI systems. Students will complete two flagship engineering projects: an AI Robot Arm and an AI Self-Driving Vehicle, learning how intelligent machines perceive, think, and act in the real world. Using Python programming, AI models, computer vision, sensors, and robotic control systems, students will develop practical skills in automation and intelligent robotics. They will train vision models, integrate AI services, program robotic behaviors, and design complete systems that combine software and hardware into real-world applications. Students will also learn 3D design and 3D printing to create custom robot accessories, mounting structures, and functional prototypes. Throughout the course, they will experience the complete engineering process—from system design and implementation to testing, debugging, and project presentation. By the end of the program, students will have completed multiple portfolio-quality AI robotics projects while developing strong technical, engineering, and problem-solving skills. Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to: Build and program an AI Robot Arm capable of performing intelligent manipulation tasks. Develop an AI Self-Driving Vehicle using computer vision, sensors, and autonomous navigation techniques. Program robots using Python and integrate AI services into robotic applications. Apply computer vision for object detection, tracking, and intelligent decision-making. Design and fabricate custom robot components using 3D modeling and 3D printing. Understand system integration by combining hardware, software, sensors, and AI models into complete robotic solutions. Develop engineering thinking, debugging skills, creativity, teamwork, and project presentation abilities through hands-on AI robotics projects.
