Course Details: • Name: IQ Competition Team (Jan Enroll) • Date: January 4, 2026 – March 1, 2026 • Time: Fridays, 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM; Sundays, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM • Location: Vinci Burlington/Vinci Newton Classroom • Grades: G4+ • Prerequisite: R402 This is a project-based program. The learning is flexible and requires students to be self-motivated to achieve good results. Students become part of an official VEX IQ competition team, working on engineering notebooks, programming, driver skills, and teamwork challenges in preparation for regional/state events. This experience mirrors real-world engineering collaboration and allows students to take ownership of their roles in the team. It also builds presentation and judging readiness, which are key to award-winning performance. Learning Outcomes: 1. Execute all aspects of a VEX IQ competition season 2. Maintain detailed documentation in engineering notebooks 3. Demonstrate leadership and collaboration in a team environment 4. Compete confidently at local or state-level events
