Course Details: • Name: V5 Competition I • Date: September 8, 2025 – January 11, 2026 • Time: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM • Location: Newton Classroom • Grades: G7+ • Prerequisite: None An introduction to the VEX V5 platform and competitive robotics. Students will learn to build and code advanced robots for real competition challenges. They will explore core mechanical systems, electrical components, and autonomous programming. This course lays the technical foundation for advanced design, game strategy, and successful teamwork in upper-level robotics competitions. Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, students will: • Have a foundational understanding of robotics terminology and principles. • Be able to design and construct basic robotic systems. • Write basic programs to control robot behavior. • Gain confidence in exploring more advanced robotics topics.
